Picking

Pick a released batch

Claim a released batch and complete the current location-first picking workflow.

Quick answer

Picking starts after an owner or admin releases orders into a batch.

Open Warehouse, find an available batch, choose Claim & pick, then follow the location-first pick session.

The normal scan sequence is:

Scan bin location -> Scan product or unit -> Confirm quantity when asked

Find available pick work

Open Warehouse.

Released batches appear under Active batches.

A batch card can show:

  • batch identifier;
  • line count;
  • unit count;
  • release time;
  • picking progress;
  • packing progress;
  • current status.

If no batches are available, Warehouse shows that it is waiting for release.

Claim or continue a batch

For an available batch, choose Claim & pick.

If the batch is already in progress and available to you, choose Continue picking.

If another operator has already claimed the batch, LaSyncro prevents a second claim and shows that the batch is already claimed by another operator.

Review the pick session

The pick session starts with Pick Session.

It shows the batch, line item count, and total units.

LaSyncro tells the picker that items are sorted by optimized pick route.

Choose Start Picking to begin.

Scan the bin first

For each item, LaSyncro first asks you to walk to the location and scan the bin barcode.

The location input says Scan bin barcode or type location code.

Manual entry is also available by typing the location code and pressing Enter.

If the wrong location is scanned, LaSyncro shows:

Wrong location. Expected [location] — try again.

Scan the product or unit

After the location is confirmed, scan the product barcode.

The product input says Scan product barcode or type barcode value.

When unit labels exist for the pick, LaSyncro can show LSU- codes for this pick. Scanning an LSU unit barcode can confirm the exact unit for that pick.

If the barcode does not match the active pick item, LaSyncro shows:

Wrong item — barcode does not match. Check you are at the right bin.

Confirm quantity when asked

If the pick line requires more than one unit, LaSyncro adds a quantity step.

Count the units and enter the expected quantity.

If the quantity does not match, LaSyncro asks you to recount and try again.

Finish the batch

Complete the required pick work for the batch.

LaSyncro then shows Pick Summary.

Review the picked count and any problem lines shown in the summary.

Choose Confirm Pick Complete.

When picking completes, LaSyncro shows Pick Complete and the batch becomes ready for pack.

If a physical problem prevents a required line from being completed, do not scan that line as picked. Review the pick exceptions guidance before continuing that unresolved item.

Recover from scanner feedback

Some scanner errors are recoverable in the moment.

Examples include:

  • scan the expected bin again after a wrong-location message;
  • rescan the correct product barcode after a wrong-item message;
  • refresh the pick task if LaSyncro says inventory or reservation state changed;
  • avoid double-scanning if LaSyncro says the pick may already have been recorded.

Do not keep scanning an item as picked if the physical item is missing, damaged, or otherwise cannot be picked correctly.

Use Report problem when it is available, but do not assume every report can be accepted for the current pick line.

Who can pick

Owners, admins, and operators can claim pick batches and complete pick scans.

In normal warehouse operations, operators usually perform the pick workflow after owners or admins release the batch.
