Orders

Understand order flow

Learn how Shopify orders move from block checks into picking, packing, and shipment.

Quick answer

Orders from your connected Shopify store appear in LaSyncro, but an order appearing in LaSyncro does not mean it is automatically ready to pick.

LaSyncro first separates blocked orders from releasable orders, then batches releasable work for warehouse operators.

The current operational sequence is:

Block Check -> Orders Pool -> Batch Release -> Pick -> Pack -> Ship

Block Check

LaSyncro checks whether an order can move into warehouse work.

In Order Flow, blocked orders appear in the Blocked orders column.

Blocked orders are grouped by reason, such as inventory, customer, or operational blockers. An order card can also show if another blocker is still present.

Use the order detail modal to review the order and resolve the blocker through the current order workflow.

Orders Pool

Orders that are not blocked and are not already batched appear in the Order pool.

The pool shows order number, value, SKU count, unit count, age, and priority or SLA labels where available.

The pool is the release surface. Orders in the pool are ready to become warehouse work, but they are not being picked until a batch is released.

Batch Release

Owners and admins can release orders from the pool.

When a batch is released, LaSyncro creates active fulfillment work and reserves the stock needed for the batch.

Released batches appear in the Fulfillment column in Order Flow and in Warehouse as active batches.

Operators do not release batches. Operators pick and pack the batches after release.

Pick

Operators open Warehouse and claim an available batch.

Picking is location-first: the picker scans the bin location, then scans the product or unit barcode for the item.

When the required pick work has been successfully completed, the operator confirms pick completion.

The batch then becomes ready for packing.

Pack

Packing starts from picked orders.

The Warehouse screen includes Pack mode, where operators scan an item or invoice barcode to begin packing.

Packing verifies the order contents before shipment.

Ship

After packing, the shipping workflow confirms shipment and handles the carrier handoff from the warehouse side.

Shipment is the final outbound step after the order has passed through release, pick, and pack.

Who uses Order Flow

Owners and admins use Order Flow to understand blockers, prioritize orders, and release batches.

Operators use the warehouse stages that come after release, especially picking and packing.
